Passover
Passover is one of the Jewish religion’s most sacred and widely observed holidays. Jewish people observe the weeklong festival with a number of important rituals, including a meal called the Seder which begins with lighting the candles. Lighting the candles is an important part of the Passover celebration because the flickering light reminds people of the importance of keeping the flame of freedom alive in the world. Passover is a celebration of coming out of the darkness and into the light.
